31JulScramble Perspective

Yusuke Hara (DesignKit) have utilised the laws of visual perception to create a store interior where multiple brands can live alongside each other, whilst retaining their own brand identity. Well thought-out angles create a submersive brand experience for the shopper at many focal points of their journey. I particularly like the idea of a false perspective viewpoint from within the store leading to the window display.

Hara’s hope is that the approach of “scramble perpective” will create brand intersections that give rise to new fashion coordination ideas. For more info see bustler

23JulZaha Hadid for Free!

Renowned for making eye catching but ultimately unachievable design solutions the architect firm has achieved a built structure in the UK for the Manchester International Design festival. The tensile structure was built in collaboration with Tony Hogg Design Ltd a tensile structure engineer (also responsible for the retractable roof at Wimbledon) and Acoustic consultants Sandy Brown Associates.  Collaborations were in place from the very start, which has resulted in much praise for its acoustic performance.

The fluid Zaha Handid styling unifies the space, intertwining performance, audience and passageways to make a intimate and unique concert experience. Best of all entry is free and the installation is designed to travel, which means you can wait for it to come to you.
